Printable Colored Pencil Testing Workshop
About the Printable
This is a worksheet designed as a place to test out and refer back to various aspects of your colored pencils and how they work.
The Worksheet Features:
- Various small tests for your pencils, such as:
- Color Samples & Color Mixing
- Testing Pigmentation/How strong the Color lay-down is
- Softness/Durability
- Erasing
- Dedicated space for information about the pencils/pencil set
- Star Ratings to better evaluate the various tests, especially at-a-glance for future reference
- Dedicated space for additional notes
- An Alternate Version of the chart with some areas un-labelled so you can fill in different tests that better suit your needs/how you use colored pencils
This worksheet is intended to help you get to know your colored pencils a little better and maybe waste less scrap paper for in-the-moment tests. If you own multiple sets, it can also help with comparing the sets in a more standardized way and figuring out which pencils do certain things better than others.

For Printing:
All of my full-page Worksheets like this one were designed on an 11" x 8.5" (standard letter size paper) canvas with minimal or no margins as most printers will add the margins automatically. The resolution was also set to at least 300 dpi (sometimes higher), so the quality should be nice and crisp. I've found that I have the best results by printing the downloaded file from my computer (not just opening the image in a web browser and printing from there) and making sure that the option that says something like "Print Entire Image" or "Fit to Page" was selected in the options.
If you'd like more information on how the Workshop was designed and is meant to be used, please check out the detailed post on my DeviantArt.
